If you’re a hard-core Eurythmics fan, I should mention that this records what appears to be the genesis of their improbable and delicious Mississippi-delta-blues rendition of “Missionary Man” as well as many fascinating snapshot revelations into how Dave & Annie made the Revenge-to-Savage transition, both musically and psychologically…and we get to hear “Brand New Day” in its original, hamstrung form, and to see the creative process very much at work.
