This one’s hard to really enjoy, apart from isolated tracks, but I can’t fail to appreciate the amount of work and concentration that went into its creation. It is bursting with creativity but never really catches the spark of vitality it needs. Still, “Kinky Sweetheart” is a yummy piece for endless-repeat playing when you need to get serious work done on a computer, the combination of Dave’s soundscape and voice with Laurie Anderson’s melding beautifully. Most of the tracks on this flail about wildly but don’t engage me…I haven’t quite decided on “Crazy Sister” that way, though….
