My impression of this album was quirkily skewed from the start, as I first heard it played by a radio station in Anchorage at the end of 1986 (they played the entire album, as I recall, which is unusual even for very-independent stations) and thought its lead vocalist was an ample-bodied black girl. When time permits, I’ll elaborate on this album and what it has come to be in my musical library.
